  Im sure they have great talented hairdressers. But you need to know who they are before booking!!
  Formal packages beware (if you don't know the stylist) I could have done a better job myself at home.
  The girls who do the makeup are amazing.
  They get my stars. I won't be going back. When you have an important function you need to be guaranteed a good look. Not something that can be achieved at home. That's why you pay alot of money to go to the hairdresser because they are supposed to be better than you and will make you look amazing. Not my experience here at this place.

  What a total embarrassment!
  
  I had the hair dresser from hell. I was there for my usual full works. Whilst having my foils put on I had to ask the young lady not to pull on my hair so hard as it was hurting and her response was "I need to get to the roots". I have never had this happen before. After sitting there for about an hour and a half it was time to rinse off. Whilst sitting at the basin I was told sorry we can't cut your hair as you have NITT'S! I was soo embarrassed! I then had my beauty work done. After that I then returned to my seat after the junior rinsed off my hair, drowning me. My stylist then excused herself from another client she had started on, then proceeded to blow dry my hair. She said make another appointment for the following week and advised me to go to the chemist and get a Hair lice treatment. I then went to pay after feeling so humiliated as I take a lot of pride in my appearance. I left not only without my haircut but half dry hair, stripes of colour and looked a mess.
  
  It got the better of me and I went to another hair dresser to do a lice treatment and was advised I DO NOT HAVE HEAD LICE. By this time I was furious. The new hair dresser then proceeded to tell me that the colour work had severely damaged my hair and would have to be chopped off and have an additional treatment done to try and repair the damage.
  
  After my ordeal, I called the salon and speak to the manager to advise of the outcome. She said it was due to health and safety reasons they couldn't cut my hair and usually they wouldn't colour the hair but rinse off immediately and normally we would have another stylist confirm head lice. (Not this time but) The whole time on the phone the manager was just saying sorry and maybe when she shampooed my hair the eggs washed out, but that doesn't compensate me for the loss of my hair, the horrendous stripes I have and not to mention the embarrassment of having to go to another hairdresser for a "LICE TREATMENT" that was not needed in the first place.
  
  The overall experience was the worst case of customer service from start to finish. I would avoid Minx Contemporary Hair Boutique for their total disregard towards their valued clients and just wanting a quick $.
